I see that the HBusout command may not be supported in future
proton versions. Could it not be kept for chips that it does work for
(like my 18F26K22 and 18F1320) Maybe a warning for chips that microchip have
over complicated and are difficult to support,
It would be a shame to make old programs not compile anymore !

The HBusin and HBusout commands will not be removed from the compilers, but if the compiler senses the SFRs it requires for its existing library routines are not present on the device it will not be able to support them, and will give an error. Maybe I used the word "legacy" incorrectly in the warning message, but I could not think of another word that meant that they would not be future proofed, but existing devices would still have them.

I have to go to the doctors on Monday for a blood test to make sure the new epilepsy medication I am on is OK (one of the unfortunate symptoms of the brain hemorage I had a few years ago), so I will be asking for a covid Jab then. Is your arm sore Colin? Did you have any Ill effects?

Many people are skeptical about the covid vaccine.
They recommend the supplementation of natural foods.
Especially apple cider vinegar , lemon and dairy products.

Hi Les  -  thanks for that -  all understood.
My jab was yesterday at 3pm. It was the Astra Zeneca version,
Today woke up with slight headache
but my arm is normal.
My Wife had her jab a couple of weeks ago and just felt a bit yukky for a day or two.
so no problems.

I've seen this quoted many times throughout my life, and I have always replied.

"If natural eating and living cures serious ailments, why did people die in their "multi-millions" in the past from standard and non-standard illnesses, before vaccinations were possible?" :-)

In the distant past, before the pollution of the industrial revolution, people had natural diets and worked hard in open air, so they did not need silly, expensive, excercises with private tutors etc, yet they had a, general, life expectancy of approx 40 years old, and the slightest ailment killed them. Ailments that we all take for granted now. i.e. Chicken Pox, Measles, Mumps, Small Pox, Scarlett Fever etc... Why??? Because of vaccinations we had when we were at school.

The vaccine is beneficial for health. I think this way too.
Doubts are that not all tests have been completed.

The trouble is, we don't have the time for years of testing. :-(

Here in the U.K, there have been over 110,000 deaths because of the virus, and mainly because of an incompetent government, so the sooner the vaccinations are done the better. This country is over-populated, so there were bound to be a lot of passings, but certainly not as many as there have been! But, as all governments in the past have shown, this one will get away with its incompetence that has killed so many people as well when it is over. :-(

They now keep using the word "Hindsite" to try and excuse their incompetence, but even when the virus was first noticed happening in other countries early last year, many, many people were saying "do something now and close the borders", but they waited and waited so their "fingers in pies" were not effected too much, or their rich friends didn't lose "too much" money, so the virus spread all around the country from other countries, very quickly. There would have been passings from it, but not as many as there have been, and still are happening.  :-(

I never thought I'd see this type of government incompetence "again" in this country in my lifetime. The last times were in the whole of the 1980s, and from 2010 to a few years ago.

Some side effects from the vaccination have got to be better than slowly drowning in your own white blood cells, or because the body itself over-reacts and kills, on-mass,  healthy cells so the person slowly suffocates, as the virus causes the body to do!

R.I.P those poor souls that have succumbed to it.

I have a friend from when I was 16. Not best friend but we keep in contact from my days at training colleague.

I just found out he got Covid back in October. He says he was lucky, he never went to hospital but he is still sick. Still coughing, still having difficulties breathing. Cannot get to see a respiratory specialist as they are all busy dealing with sicker people.

Its serious people. Do all you can to keep safe, follow the science. You do not want it.

For info the a lot of the vaccines were developed in a couple of weeks following the release of the DNA info on Covid 19. It has been in testing since then.

The amount of testing is the same as a lot of other drugs, it was just accelerated to remove the gaps between stages.

Hi Les,
I got mine last week, I am petrified of people sticking needles in me but I did not even know they had done it.
I felt pretty bad the next day with a mild temperature and feeling sick but the following day pretty much back to normal.
I had to laugh as they gave me a leaflet afterwards and the first thing it says "Read all of this leaflet carefully before the vaccine is given because it contains important information for you" I suppose they do not want to mess about answering questions.

Maybe I'm the exception but I have had no side effects whatsoever.  It will now be 3 weeks next Tuesday since my AstraZeneca jab so should be building up to max resistance.  My wife had a mild headache for a day.

Take the vaccine, its essential we get as many vaccinated as possible and while our government have been slow initially the vaccine rollout has been a magnificent effort and our procurement of the vaccines at a very early stage has secured our supply. I'm just grateful I don't live in Europe and even more grateful we didn't join in with the procurement fiasco that the EU is going through.

I did hear somewhere that the side effects is your immune system responding to the vaccine and doing what it is supposed to so possibly good news if you do have some.

We're dragging our feet down under.
Health workers end of month with Pfizer, older people within a month or two with Astrazeneka. Everyone before end of year. Although infections are low (escapees from quarantine hotels), government  don't seem to be overly concerned. I'm sure our Federal MPs will put themselves at the start of the queue to demonstrate how important they are. I have my arm ready but expecting a longish wait.

What about "deprecated"?

I was Pfizer'd last Thursday. I normally watch the injection process but the nurse was so fast I never saw it coming and never felt a thing. The following day the top of my arm was a little sore but nothing else, all gone now.

charliecoutas

I was  Astra Zeneca'd on Feb 1. Terrified of needles but I didn't feel a thing. No side effects. My wife Lynda had a bad headache for a day after her jab, OK now. Our government have made a complete mess over the pandemic, but they have got the vaccinations right, so far. I don't think normality will return before next year.

I guess it depends on the readers interpretation of "Legacy", to me it means historical, no longer current. Which is different from obsolete, which mean no longer in use. So for me in terms of software "Legacy" means what you intended it to, still available but not recommended as it is outdated.

joesaliba

My mother and law and father in law where vaccinated with Pfizer first and second dose. In May general public will begin vaccinated.

Not bad here in Malta, first in the EU for every 100 people.

I'm a foreigner here and I still not have the idea how the Govt will provide the vaccine. That might be paid, as the one wanting to enter the Country, for the medical test and quarantine period.
