Les, is there a new update from the first page post?

Frizie

It's not entirely clear to me either.
Is the (paid) upgrade available for purchase now?  ???
I haven't seen any official information about it (or maybe I missed it).

That upgrade was more than year ago. I think it is time for a new thread.

There is no "upgrade" yet.

I am busy working on some more dsPIC33CK and CH devices, and other 8-bit devices, as well as the more complex dsPIC33AK devices, which can be a right "twat" to operate at the low level, and make it invisible to the end user.

i hope positron 16 will have support of dspic33ck series of which models have 8clc and HRPWM APLL 500 MHz
I'm honestly waiting with hope and excitement.

Ivano

Good evening, I installed the 4.0.6.3 update and it works. Then, reading the various updates, I noticed that a year ago (I stopped for a year and didn't update) the update was paid. I didn't pay, but it still works. However, it's right that I still pay even if I still use the same PICs. The compiler and its father, Les, deserves to be paid for his excellent work. I wanted to know if the update is still £25. Thanks.

Ivano

Good morning, a question for Les.
I wanted to send the payment for the upgrade. Is it still £25.00?
Thanks, Ivano.

top204

Hello Ivano

Yes. It is £25.00 for an upgrade for the Positron compilers that also have the extra devices in them.

Best regards
Les

Ivano

Good evening, Les, I sent you the payment for the Positron upgrade via my email.
Best regards, Ivano

Many thanks Ivano.

I sent your email with the upgrade's download link in it.

John Drew

Greetings Les,
I sent an email requesting details for the purchase of another copy of Positron, it's a year since I bought my last copy so time for another.
Still having fun with my various projects although not as busy as the past. Having trouble with my left hip, I'm 85 now and bits are starting to fall off :-)

Unfortunately the email bounced:
host hotmail-com.olc.protection.outlook.com [52.101.68.28]
SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined end of data:
550 5.7.509 Access denied, sending domain [BIGPOND.COM] does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject.

I am receiving emails ok so hopefully you know my email address so I don't have to post it here.
I'll use story..etc via my paypal account if that is still correct.

Best wishes from John D

John Lawton

Hi John,

that error message seems to indicate a DMARC configuration issue with BIGPOND so OUTLOOK rejected your email. This isn't an issue Les can do anything about, but worth letting him know about it.

Best,

John

It is good to hear from you John D.

Unfortunately, since micro$oft took over hotmail, it has been one problem after another (surprise, surprise), however, changing email and things with paypal is not that straight forward anymore. So I have to keep it. :-(

Send me a forum message John, because funds per month are actually quite low. i.e. £0.00, and I am not joking, or exaggerating, on that. We get 'not a single penny' per month from anywhere, and our savings are dwindling fast, and compiler sales are non existant now.

In this country, if you do the right thing and constantly work and save a little, you get nothing in return when life kicks you in the teeth and make that not applicable anymore, from governments and employers alike. However, if you have never worked a day in your life, or keep pumping kids out etc, you get money and housing handed to you on a plate by governments and councils etc, with lots of extras!

Best regards
Les

Very sad this...  :'(
You will receive another donation from me at Easter, Les  :)
