A nice thought, and many thanks, but I would not touch amazon with a 100ft pole, or even a 10000ft pole. :-)

I detest the company, and will never go anywhere near anything with amazon associated with it.

If evil was an entity, it would be named amazon, or apple, or google, or meta etc...

As far as I understand (if I am not mistaken) you are in rebellion against the system in the world.. Do you want to sell Positron only to European countries that have PayPal, and not to the whole world?

Quote from: okmn on Jul 01, 2025, 08:08 AMI had made a promise to contribute to the development of "positron";
I am speaking on my behalf, all I could do was to regularly re-buy positron from "ebay". (I could only buy it from ebay, because paypal is not active for Turkey)

But now it is not available on ebay either!!

So what will I do and those who want to contribute like me or buy the latest version of Positron? Those who live in countries where paypal is not active!!
Quote from: top204 on Jul 01, 2025, 09:37 AMUnfortunately, there is nothing I can do, as I cannot afford a merchant bank account, and I will never give out details for a bank account. Hence, why I no longer use ebay, because it has gotten into bed with the devils.

Many thanks for your thoughts.

Best regards
Les
I am not sure a merchant bank account would be required, an ordinary Current account for people to pay into should suffice, and while I understand a reluctance to give out bank account details my bank stated it needs more that just the account number and sort code to do anything, even online as now that usually requires 2 factor authentication.
It's odd that you are told not to give out those details, yet when you write a cheque they are by necessity clearly displayed on the bottom of it so the banks know which account to debit, yet that is effectively also giving the recipient those details.

Speaking of cheques, could be an option for those without PayPal?
I know many banks do not issue chequebooks with their current accounts now unless you ask for one, but I think it should still be possible for those who do not have a cheque book to obtain a banker draft.

Les,

many authors on Substack use this for small payments, might be worth using?

You could put a link for donations on the bottom of all your forum replies.

Maybe Western Union could be an option if the client is willing to accept the charges.

Is this the latest update, from March 2024?  Just asking because I need to work on a 16F18076 but don't appear to have that as a supported device.  Thought I had seen it on the list of supported parts, but clearly I got it wrong.

I don't think the device you are looking for is currently supported as the latest upgrade I have was for Version 4.0.4.0 and has a file date of April 2024, the latest corrections update I have is version 4.0.6.0 with a file date of September 2025 and that device is not being highlighted in the IDE, nor can I find a PPI file for it.

Perhaps you had seen a post where someone asked if it was going to be supported, alternatively 16F18876 is supported so perhaps you have the 16F18076 it mixed up with that device.

A corrections "update" seldom has new devices added to it.

It is the, payed for, "upgrade" that has the new devices added, and I am currently working on new devices for an "upgrade", but they are not as easy to add as it looks on paper, or the screen. Microchip have changed all of their data info, and a lot of the peripherals are different, and some architecture differences, so new assembler code has to be written for them, after reading many datasheets, as many as is possible before dying of boredom or fatique. :-)

Check the transfer on PayPal and if it's OK, send me an update as soon as possible.

I made the transfer through my friend.

I think Les is still working on the upgrade you are talking about and is this not ready yet Atomix...

Many thanks Atomix.

I have your email, and I am just in the process of doing some changes to the compiler manuals. I will then send you a link for the upgrades, which will be 4.0.6.2 and 1.1.3.2.

Best regards
Les

Sommi

Hi Les

I sent you an email last wednesday for payment link for a full version of the compiler.
In order to support your work I'd prefer a full installation instead of an update.
My email: h.sommerauer@mosway.ch

Kind regards & happy weekend
