I'm using a BT module Mchip RN4870 and its working well.

I have to say it's only in beacon mode (ALT beacon) but its seems to be behaving very well.

Word of warning they come with different software versions. Stick to 1.4 and up.

If you need code let me know.

I'm using it to TX temperature data. This means you do not have to pair and several people can see the data at the same time. Next is, its low power as its not having to send data back and forth. I have it broadcasting at ~ 200ms so 5hz and using a BT scanner it's catching 3-4 packets every second.

Another benefit is I check internally for temp changes and only update the beacon if there is a change, then put the RN4870 to sleep. It handles the rest, waking, broadcasting the data then going back to sleep. It means I can do other stuff and nap without worrying having to keep sending packets.

Cheers

Tim
