Looking for a dsPIC33CK that's available

With my programme out-growing a 64K device (dsPIC33CK64MP205) and Microchip quoting years before delivery of >64k devices, does anyone know of any 128/256/1024k devices in stock?

Alternatively, I can use any 48 pin UQFN-48 device. (only hardware I use is: 1x timer, 3x UART, 1x SPI, 2x I2c, 3x INT pins)
I see there is stock available of dsPIC33CH512MP205 but it's not supported by Positron.

Les - is there much work to port accross the code to a dual core (CH) from a single core (CK)? - Don't need the dual functionality just normal stuff!

The situation is also tragic for other devices in the high-performance line, even Microchip's official website confirms what can be seen on distributor sites.
Delivery forecasts are 'hallucinating'...

It used to be so easy, pick your PIC and do the design. Now you have to find an available device and design around that. Possibly a worse problem is the manufacturing of existing designs where the original devices are no longer available. I've even had to resort to Ebay to get product.

It really is a sad state for Microchip and as stated by others shortages,  hideous lead times and cost increases are over a vast range of silicon.  All mainstream MCU's are an issue with the exception of the RP2040 which seems to be struggling to get into designs.  RP2040 STOCK

The global shortage is really starting to bite (byte?) now. For power supply chips, we are looking more at the smaller independant manufacturer like Qorvo.com where previously we used almost exclusively Linear Tech - now Analog.

If Microchip cannot make product, how long can they hold out? Now that will be a disaster...

Quorvo were formerly Triquint and they purchased RFMD and some other suppliers before they changed the name, they produce really good RFIC's

For power devices in big volume you should look at MPS and Silergy, these guys are very low cost, have good availability and the parts are good quality.  Some of the best LDO for the price point are Torex and they have some pretty decent, but limited, DC-DC.

Unfortunately, out of stock and high prices are a real problem for Microchip customers. I didn't research too much. But when cost is the top priority, ELAN mcu lar Microchip can be a good alternative for older 8 bit mcu s. The instruction set is very similar to the old PIC16 series (I think so, I could be wrong). If the positron compiler could compile for it I would definitely like to use it. There are even those priced under 30 cents.
