Greetings to all the old hands from the former Proton Basic forum.   After several days of shock I stumbled on this and noted a few familiar names.
A big thanks for the guys who got the new website up and running so quickly -a really nice job and easier to use.

Best regards to all,
David

Hello everyone! I don't know why we're here, but I hope the compiler will continue to be developed and you can get support in the forum. Thank you!

Yes, welcome back Alberto.

I was just looking at your seven segment stuff on the old WIKI.  Unfortunately the code is not available.  I don't actually need it, it was just something to do.

Details on accessing some of the stuff from the old site can be found in the Forum Suggestions sections of this forum.

Hi,
Good to be here, Joe(Saliba) sent me an email mentioning something about Messenger which I hadn't got a clue about.
I assume it is something to do with Facebook, thank god I have found the forum here as I said I would be turning in the grave before I signed up for Facebook or Twitter.

Thank you very much to everyone.
@Se_Mos
I can publish this code again. I'll try it in a few days.

I have all my original codes and articles. I can publish all articles again.

Thanks Alberto, I have several versions of your .INC files and could work out the main files but it's not important as I was just looking for something to do.

I have some code modified from an old forum thread that I have working at the moment.

I did not know that you make no use of Facebook. I make very little use of it as well.

Having said that, if it wasn't Facebook we are not here in this very nice forum.

Glad to see everyone on this forum.

I rarely use facebook, but at least it will not "pull the plug" on its users without any notice, and it has come in very useful. If it wasn't for facebook, the good Gevv and OG would not have created this excellent forum.

Hello everyone.  :)

John Drew

Welcome Barak, glad you found the new site.

Barak

Hi Drew,
I'm still a bit confused about what had transpired. What happened to the 8 bit compiler?

Steven

Happy to see Proton PIC Basic is still alive!

John Drew

Hi Barak,
The compilers are still alive and well although there is going to be a name change to Positron8  and Positron16.
The previous site was owned and operated by a company that has withdrawn its services.
We now have to repopulate the WIKI. It will take a while but we are all very appreciative.

Hi Les,
You have answered yet another of my unasked questions.  I was going to post the fact that I had found a web site that had called Proton Basic as Positron Basic.  I was wondering if that was an error.   The page also had a link to the forum....
Best regards
HAL

Good to see the PDS forum back online, with great news from Les on the future of the compilers.

Good to be back!!
