Positron BASIC Community

We have a Raymarine ST1 network on our yacht (3 pin connector) and wish to connect it to a NMEA0183 (RS232) device. Does anyone have any background on the ST1 protocol?
I gather it's bi-directional serial but that's about it! NMEA0183 I'm happy with and this is no problem.

Hey friend, here's some information. This is what I found online. I hope it helps, and I think it's an RS422 protocol.

Thank you for your reply, I'm good with the NMEA side it's the Seatalk-1 protocol I am interested in.
Will have to reverse engineer / hack ST-1...
