Where to go for simple PCB finishing?

Hi all

As part of my business we need to finish of the population of a couple of circuit boards. It involves soldering on a few sockets on, a few caps, led bar strip, buttons and cables.

We also make up few cable assemblies, 2 or 3 wires connected to an led strip or a temp sensor.

The issue is that this is takes a while and it is really a waste of our time as we make only say 4 or 5 at a time, we need to be getting on with other work.

So I'm looking now to farm the work out. Batches will be in the region of around 50 at a time. No real skill is involved just basic soldering and crimping ability's. I see it taking 3 + days per batch. BTW there are around 2 batches a year. But if its better for the person I can make it a double batch.

So where to look? Its not big money due to the small numbers, but I am not looking for cheap labour, I will pay a fair rate.

Any advice?

Thanks Tim

Frontline Electronics in Thanet are very good at small batch pcb population and cable assemblies.

Here in the U.S., I do small batch (12 pcs. max) PCB prototyping with EasyPCBUSA (www.easypcbusa.com).  They accept Gerber files that are easy to generate from KiCad, and have great pricing and delivery.  My last batch of 2-sided PCBs measured 3.125" x 1.75" (80mm x 45mm), cost $115 for 12, and delivery was free in a week's time.  Orders are easy to enter online.  I've used them several times, and have no complaints.  I don't know if they take international orders.
