Proteus alternative?

Hello all,

Is there an alternative to Proteus with the same capability to program a variety of pics? Proteus is good but subscriptions to keep up is quite dear. I'm at version 9.1 but I don't see updates that are useful for me, I will prefer more models updates. I'm more into schematic simulation as for drawing the boards I do them manually using Proteus.

cheers

Unfortunately, there is no 'real' alternative to it yet, but the community of microcontroller users are crying out for an alternative, because proteus is getting worse and worse, and more and more expensive.

It is like "the one eyed man being king of the blind". :-)

I have TINA installed but have only used it for analogue simulation, however it seems to have digital capabilities, might be worth investigation?

Thaks John.

TINA looks interesting. I'll download its demo and take a look. Most of the microcontroller simulators, simulate devices that are around 20 years out of date. :-) The last time I looked at TINA, it was just for analogue simulations using mathematics that were way over the top of me. :-)
