Proton BASIC Community

Hi,
Just used my Windows 11 PC (pretty new, hardly anything on it) to log in, tried to log in and it rejected me saying there was an issue. I know I had the right details so changed it from Forever to 1 hour (desparation) and it let me. What is it these days with useless software.
Has anyone else had this issue, it is not a big deal at the moment as I am just trying it out but if this (Win 11) is the future I will stick with 7.

I have been using Windows 11 for a few years and not really had any login problem beyond finger trouble since work made us use minimum 16 character passwords.
At home I switched to using a PIN as I don't have webcam or fingerprint scanner, but it does seem very difficult or impossible to change the PIN number.

I am not sure what you mean by that, sounds like you have changes some setting, but how if you could not log in?

Maybe in was downloading/installing an update at the time, that can take consume a lot of the processing power and if a virus scan is running as well which can also consume a lot it can slow other interactions so perhaps it just missed a keypress or two.
It may not help but when you next log in try opening the command prompt as an administrator and entering the command...
sfc /scannow
This can take a while but it scans critical Windows files and replace any that appear to be missing/corrupted, so if the problem was caused by a dodgy file somewhere that may solve it.

Sorry, I did not explain myself, head is still not right after being discharged from hospital. I had more concentration when drunk:-)
It was when I went to log in to the Proton forum that I had the issue. When you log in there is an option "Forever", for some reason it did not like this. I have not had an issue on any other PC/OS so just blamed it on Win 11 which is not my favourite, why do they have to keep changing/renaming things.

Off topic, I am having trouble walking, very unsteady. I pointed out I could have 10 pints and walk better which did not go down well.

To design PIC programs with Positron, I use an offline Windows 7 laptop with a large, extra-wide screen.

I use my Windows 11 PC for browsing.
It's a two-year-old PC, but it regularly freezes completely for about 10-15 seconds for some unknown reason 
It also has many bugs in Windows 11 apps 

I'd rather have Windows 7
