Just a quick tip

I sometimes have to make my own labels. Especially when in a hurry or only need a few.

What I have found works great is to use a glossy self adhesive plastic coated paper. I have used both coloured paper and clear. As my Laser printer is out of ink I have had to use an inkjet. I designed my label and printed it out. I then used a clear lacquer spray to coat the surface and seal the ink in. 2-3 coats was enough.

Cut to size and stick. They seem to be resistant to water especially if you spray the top after being cut to size.

Got me out of a hole more than a few times.

Here's what I did, printed label on a laser printer, cut out the LCD aperture then used a laminator to seal the whole label, then punched holes for switches. the units have been installed for the last ten years and the labels are still good.
