I'm posting this am I came across the picture and though if I talk about it it my be of use to people in the future. A warning so to speak..

I have a product with a membrane keyboard. While using the product I though I will give it a clean. A dab of soap and then rinse it off. Obviously I did not want it to get inside so was careful.

10 mins later it the unit was dead. The keyboard failed. Removing and destroying the case I found that water had wicked in the membrane and corroded a track. It actually happened 2 x seconds was a wipe down with alcohol that was a little to wet.

Now I bed it with a smidgen of clear sealant in the hope of sealing the edges.

use plastic spray. it provides a rubber coating that resists moisture, acids, abrasion, corrosion, skidding, and slipping. The flexible, stretchy formula will not crack or become brittle in extreme weather conditions.

Thanks

I'm not sure a spray will help. It's not defined enough. I want to leave the protective plastic in place on the membrane and the sides of the case have a rubber softgrip. The spray will go everywhere..

Using a clear silicone like sealant (non acidic version) I get to ensure its just around the edges of the membrane.

I will remember that though for the future...
