Possibility of having the old Proton and new positron as separate compiler

Hello all,
I'm battling with the new purchased Positron on my older codes and instead of spending hours to figure out the subtitle changes, will it be possible to have the two compilers on the same machine?
I have tried to install the Proton compiler after having installed Positron but then it overrided the Positron software and I could see on the about. Is there a way around to do that as the installation doesn't give you the opportunity to do so. Thank you.

Regards,

Yves

you could try installing each compiler in a separate directory or using a virtual machine, depending on how the installers handle shared files and registry settings. making a backup before changing anything would also be a good idea. for other online services, AccsMarket.com — Hotmail is another resource people may come across when exploring digital account options!)

Within the email I send to all purchasers of the compilers, there is a paragraph for that, and it always has a bold "Note" above it:

Quote****** Note ******
It is sometimes better to uninstall the Proton or Positron compilers that are currently on your machine first. Then install the new versions, especially if the previous compiler version is Proton and not Positron. A copy of the original ProtonIDE folder in "Program Files (x86)" can be made before the uninstall, giving it a different name. For example: "ProtonIDE_08-09-2025". Then the original compiler can be used if required, by opening the IDE within that folder.

The compilers keep everything they need within the ProtonIDE folder, so if it is copied and pasted elsewhere, the IDE within the copied folder will access the compiler within it as well, and it is the original. The only thing it cannot keep are the user program listings, because they must be in a folder that can be written too.
