Many thanks Max, for your mention in the Practical Electronics magazine this month. It means such a lot to me when I see that others are appreciating the work I do on the compilers. Also, many thanks Joe for your continued enthusiasm of the Positron compilers, and your introduction of them to Max.

It is very strange when one considers another human as a friend, even when they have never actually met in real life? It happens so often on this forum, and in email conversations.

I have attached a screenshot of Max mentioning the compilers and me in his regular, and excellent, article in the Practical Electronics magazine, that I must say, is starting to be more analogue than it has been in the past, which is a wonderful things to happen. A good mix of microcontroller and analoque electronics is good to read. I wonder how long it would take me to convert his C++ code into Positron8 for the articles, and use one of John's excellent Amicus8 board, with a PIC18F27Q84 device, and a bootloader. The PIC18F27Q84 devices are now my favourite, because they have so much for such a small price. i.e. 128K flash, 13K RAM, and multiples of peripherals, all operating at 16 MIPS with no crystal needed, only the chip itself! With a 25MHz crystal, they can easily operate at 100MHz (25 MIPS).

Now... With being famous, I need to get rich as well, but not recognised in the street, because I am a very private person, so no autographs please. :-)

Many Thanks Max.jpg

There is also here John. For lots of lovely old electronics magazines, that are sadly missed these days:

Proud to know such a famous person Les! Proud to know you before you were famous.

Very nice Les.
You and the Positron (super)compilers deserve much more attention than they currently receive.
They are competing with C++ and Python.

That's what you think !  When you wipe your eyes you're going to have to deal with hysterical screaming girls (and nerds) running after you where ever you go, even trying to enter your home at all hours, wanting selfies with you and autographs - amongst other private expectations...  :o

The paparazzi is now watching you.  Even the wind moving a curtain will en up in the news with a story behind it  ;)

Ah yes, and the negative media will call you a pic smuggler and a code witch doctor.
