John Barrat emailed me to let me know that he would be spending a day in Malta and asked if we might meet.

It was good to meet John in person, and I appreciated the surprise.

John, thank you! Always nice to make faces to names.

That must have been a lovely day Joe and John.

Over the years, I have met a few people from here on the forum, and it is always a joy to meet a friend in person.

Sure, it was. I must say this was the first time I met someone in person from this forum.

It was great to see Joe the other day and to thank him for assistance in testing my programs. I wish I had had more time to have visited Joseph's workshop where he builds his amazing planes. Our community is spread all over the world so the opportunity to meet the person behind the posts has been a delightful opportunity not to be missed.

Sorry for the late reply. Currently a bit busy.

@JohnB anytime John, just send me a text / call and I will pick you up.

@Fanie Here it is the latest one, F16, 3.018m!

Begin some work on it, but have other friends models to build up as well.

Wow!  That's a serious model for sure.
I'm guessing it's a real gas turbine and not a large scale EDF.
Would love to see some video after it's all finished and trimmed up.

Cheers,
David

Very nice build Joe. My brother also enjoys the hobby he has a 3m biplane with a 7 cylinder radial engine. Serious stuff all control systems are duplicated. Takes him ages to setup at the flying field with all the wires and turn buckles on the wings.
It's a a great hobby.
