Unable to locate JRE error

I have installed windows 11 and am getting the following error when attempting to program a PIC with PICKit 3.  "Unable to locate JRE".  I did install Java Runtime Environment. 

Also this message appears when PICKit 3 is connected: " Connected device is not supported by AWCC 6". AWCC is Alienware Command Center.  I purchased an Alienware monitor so this seems unrelated.
