Hi All,
I'd like to send a little bit of data from a PIC project to a nearby Android phone and wondered if something like the HC-05 Bluetooth module and a Serial Bluetooth Terminal app would be the easiest method.
Is the HC-05 still current or are there better modules to play with?   There won't be a lot of data and it won't be fast - only a few bytes of data every second and probably only 9600 Baud.
Any suggestions for modules or apps would be most welcome.

Cheers,
David

Thank you both for your replies.  I can see I clicked "buy now" on an old model but it should still do the job and it's only for playing with and hobby jobs.  Besides - I've only got a very basic and fairly old Samsung phone for testing it on.
I will do further reading based on your suggestions - thank you.

Cheers,
David
