How to change selection background and foreground color of text?

You did not specify which IDE you are using.
As far as I know for the Mechanique IDE there is no option to set the background colours, for Positron Studio it is Tool Menu - Options and select the Highlighter tab.
I do not know what option there are for the FineLine IDE.

Background and text colors can be set in FineLineIDE.

atomix posted in the Positron Studio section so I assume that he is using Studio.

On the toolbar at the top of the screen select tools then options then the highlighter tab.  You can alter the text size here as well.  When finished click the apply button first then the OK button.
