Hi

as the "old" hardware I2C commands are classified "legacy" (hbstart etc.) and probably will be phased out in future compiler versions, is the source code available for creation of own procdeures?

Kind regards

Hi,
I've used Hbusin and Hbusout on a wide range of different devices and always found it bullet proof.  I also admit that I never used the other commands such as Start, Restart, Stop, Ack, Nack and yet never saw a problem with the devices or on the logic analyzer.
Why is it being phased out and what is the recommended replacement?

Cheers,
David

I think I asked about  this some time ago.
Legacy does not mean the command is being removed from Proton/Positron.
It just means I wont work for newer devices that microchip have messed about with.
So will still work with my favorite chips   :) (18F1320   18F26K22 etc)

Thanks for the reply.
That's some relief/comfort I have to say.
