Long shot but I know there are some Hams on here.

Ideally, I would like a Wenzel 10MHz standard.  Phase noise must be better than -160dBc/Hz @ 10k, ideally -165dBc/Hz or better and CMOS or LVDS output  (even longer shot) as the slew rate needs to be 600V/us so noise during the clock transition doesn't degrade the Phase noise in the limiting amplifiers of the PLL reference chain, pre PFD.  Wondering if there is a reputable sources of surplus military hardware in UK.  I have designed and  built one close to  -158dBc/Hz at 10k offset (verified through math on 20 logN and the FOM of the PLL and measured on my signal analyser), but this is my limit with the parts I can source in my lab and I need >> -160 dBc/Hz to push my latest design to the limit. I have asked Wenzel for a quote, but it will be > £1000 and worse weeks.

Before anyone asks, no its not defence, its scientific purposes for space comms.

Cheers

Jon
