Hi Moderator,

I think a folder for "Library" in the Files> Users Files section would be nice. This section would only store user libraries.
A good definition of library is what Dompie has put https://protoncompiler.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=6

In addition I would add some extra features in a few lines of text to quickly find what you want. For example:

Author: xxx yyy zzz
Date: 2020/02/02
Proton version: 3.0.0.0
Category: Storage, GSM/GPRS, GPS, Display, Communication (Ehernet, USB, COM,...), Audio, Sensor Drive, Power Supply,
RTC, Motor Control, Other, ....

In this way we would have the user libraries in a single place to save and search.

Hi Gamboa
I don't know exactly what is necessary for forum layout.
You will help us.
However, Les needs approval.
You know Les is very busy.
That's why things go a little slow.
We will progress slowly.
We expect your help.
Thanks.

Hi OG,
Thank you OG.
I think a subfolder with the name "Library" would suffice.

In the description of each item the user can add the rest of the information that I have suggested:
Author: xxx yyy zzz
Date: 2020/02/02
Proton version: 3.0.0.0
Category: Storage, GSM/GPRS, GPS, Display, Communication (Ehernet, USB, COM,...), Audio, Sensor Drive, Power Supply,
RTC, Motor Control, Other, ....

Hi OG,

IMHO these files should be in "Files" or in "User Files" in a subfolder called "Library". But it's just an idea. When there are hundreds of files we will not know what a library or a utility or a code snipet is.

I was on the same track, maybe I was name it repository.
The organization for that section should contain files in a manner that would be represented in a table or double pane browsing, then each file should be accompanied with a short description. Even FTP method should be a good way for browsing that section.
It might be good if the section will expand in articles form, from the authors. So the article should give examples and pictures to well describe the making.
Ignorance comes with a cost

@gevv , I could not understand the request of Dear Gamboa's.
Is it possible for you to help?

Hi OG,

My English is from google translate, so I apologize for all the abuses to the language of magnificent Shakespeare.

I think that the ideal would be to make a repository (according to keytapper) of user libraries in Files. I show an image with this idea (userLibrary.png).

In this repository or warehouse, all the user libraries would be placed in .zip files. In the same way that they are being put in user files. Thus, in this place we would only have user libraries.

In the field that already exists for description the user should add some notes such as author, date, proton version and category, as well as a general description of what the library does. I attach the description.png file to clarify the issue.Description.pngUserLibrary.png

Hi Gamboa

QuoteMy English is from google translate, so I apologize for all the abuses to the language of magnificent Shakespeare.
I'm the same too.

We will gradually make the additions you want.
We have not yet fully solved the base (SMF) of the forum.

The problem with a general purpose folder for all libraries, is that eventually there will be too many of them (I hope) and hard to find a specific library for a specific task.

The Wiki section has catagories for tasks and projects etc, so that is where libraries should reside. All library files need a demo program, or example, of some kind, so they should be placed in the section that the library is relevant too. For example, an alphanumeric LCD library will go into the Wiki section of text LCDs etc...
