They are a good concept, but they are waaaaaayyyyy over priced for what they are and do.

Hi,
I had it working and there was some stuff on the old forum, it is late here so give me a day or two and I will see what I have. I think the 810 is for capacitive touch screens, I only used the 800.
I was getting on very well with it until a person left and I am not sure what happened but I never got any sensible answers.

Bob

Hi Alex,
This is what I can find at the moment, probably got other stuff but it will be before "Procedures".
I hope it gives you a start as it did take a bit of time to actually get it to work,
This one is a bit more involved than a basic "Hello World", if you have any issues let me know and I will see what I can do.
It is written for 18F2680 but if you comment out the device include and add the Amicus18 it should run on the 18F25K20/Amicus18 board.

This is what I would like to buy. https://www.hotmcu.com/5-graphical-lcd-touchscreen-480x272-spi-ft800-p-124.html
I ask Bob one thing, is the display update system fast enough?

Hi,
I did have a video of a simulated revcounter, unfortunately some incompetent programmer at Samsung has screwed up access to my cloud storage where I think it is.
I cannot believe it asks for 2 factor authentication so I log in and then it says it cannot send an email to verify it is me although I have just done that.

As I recall it was pretty quick updating.

I hope this comes out, I am not sure if it is from the earlier attached code but it will give you some idea. Looks better on the actual device than the video here.

Looks a very interesting solution for a future project

Thanks

Hi Alex,
I had some issues converting that code to PIC24 and went back to basics to try to see where I was going wrong. Long story short, I could not get that code to work reliably. It was written 6/7 years ago and may be subject to improvements in the compiler causing issues??
I am rewriting it to benefit from procedures so I will post an update if you would like to test is shortly.

Bob
