Only a minor update with a few fixes. Not had time to do much in the way of functionality.

Go to Positron Studio Website to download.

Hello John.
I just installed the Proton Studio 2.0.2.6 update but when I try to resize the font in the options menu it doesn't accept the setting and therefore it doesn't resize the font. Did I do something wrong or did I have the wrong menu?
Thanks in advance.

Font and Font Size can be selected from, Tools, Options, Highlighter.  Click Apply to see the effect, click OK to change save it.

It works on my version here.

Hi john,

Once again I am struggling to get the bit names to work in Explorer.  the list of registers is there buy grayed out.

The folder was not there in Program data\Positron Studio as per the help file.  So I added a folder and copied the relevant .BNF files.  I started with the folder named BNFFiles as per the help file.  That didn't work so I added the path to Library Paths.  I tried restarting Studio but that did not help either so I tried alternative folder names 'BNF Files' and just BNF.  Each time I changed the path to match and restarted Studio but no go.

Sorry, I should have addressed this earlier.
I can see the problem and I will get an update out tomorrow afternoon

There were 2 issues regarding SFR Viewer
1 - Installer wasn't putting the BNF file in correct location
2 - Switching between open pages was not updating the SR Viewer
I should add that the BNF Files do not at this time carry data on all PICs so there will be occasions where FSR registers will be greyed out.

I have now updated it and published 2.0.2.7 on the Positron Studio website.

Hi John,

I installed the latest version but the SFR's are still grayed out and searching with "Everything" I cannot find a new bit names folder or files, just what I created yesterday.

JohnB

I have just deleted my installation, removed the directories and ran the install from the zip file.
Installation went correctly and  the following files appeared in:
C:\users\<UserName>\AppData\Roaming\Positron Studio
BNF Data.zip
PDF Data.zip
ProgrammersEx.ini
PRTO24_Demo.pspkg

If the BNF file exists for that device the Registers will appear in green in the Code Explorer
If the file cannot be found in the BNF Data.zip the SFR's will appear greyed out.
Can I suggest you try a different device - e.g. 18F242, 24FJ32GA102 which I know are in the BNF Data.

Thanks John,

The files names you mentioned above are there but the names and locations are different to your help file information.

Additionally 18F25K20 and 18F25K22 are missing from the zip, hence the problem.  I added 18F25K22 and after restarting Studio bit names are working, for that device  until the zip gets overwritten and I have forgotten where and how to fix it!

Where are the files located on your PC?

I have updated the help file with the correct files names and paths.  Actually it is correct in the Installation section, I had just missed the reference in the SFR Viewer topic

The installation is as you said.

The confusion started because the help file lead me down the wrong path. :D

@ricardourio If you restart Positron Studio again does it function correctly?  If not try deleting the Positron Studio Ini file in C:\Program Data\Positron Studio then starting the application.  Are you working with the version 4.0.0.0 of the compiler or are you still using a previous version.
