Many thanks for your letter Bob (RGV250).

I know this sounds too 'soppy', and 'over sentimental', but you are such a good man, and I am so glad to call you a friend. :-)

When I told my Rachel you had send a letter with a christmas present in it, she totally agreed with me, when I reminded her who you are. She said you are very welcome at our house if you are up here again, sometime, and we'll have a good chat over a cuppa.

Hi Les,
It was the least I could do, hope you put it to good use   I am of the age (like a lot of us here) that find a letter adds much more intrigue than emails etc.

I may be going to Harrogate in 3 weeks time, I am not sure of my travel plans yet but Spalding is around half way home so I will see if I can drop by on the way back.   It will probably be Sunday 15th Nov if you are about.
