Hi John,
I knew it was on B.7 but saw the line where it said works whatever pin the LED is on and thought there was some pretty neat programming.
The strange thing is there was some activity on the LED which seemed to change if I held the board.

Perhaps RB7 is set as an input, i.e. floating, so holding the board or crosstalk from other lines might happen to turn on the LED driver?

Did you have the jumper in? if not the input to the OPA floats and the led is in a bit of limbo jingo

John Lawton

Actually the jumper links the LED to the Op-Amp output. The Op-Amp input is permanently connected to RB7 but that can be high-impedance.

Hi,
I have found what the problem is but not why. It happened when i touched the ICSP pins so I got a bit of wire.
If I touch B.6 (PGC) it is very dim and hardly visible. If I touch B.7 (PGD) it is on fully and this is with me isolated from the board (and anything else) apart from touching the pin?

Regards,
Bob

That will be because the pin was hiZ when set to my dev board, so any charge on you will force the OPA to change.
