I have just finished writing a game I used to play many years ago (a frightening amount of them), on my first computer, which was a Sinclair ZX81. :-)

I started it, 'and do not laugh', in 2008, but things got in the way, and things happened that put it off, then put it off again. But I have had a dreadful bought of the cold virus, so I thought I would try and get back into it, and it is now finished...

It runs on a PIC18F26K22 device, and displays on an SPI interfaced, SH1306 (sometimes named SSH1306), or an SSD1306, or an SSD1309. All of which are 128x64 monochrome OLEDs.

See if you can name the game, with the picture of it below, operating on the Amicus board. It is a maze game, with monsters and treasure to find. There was also a re-write of the game on the Sinclair Spectrum computer, which I am thinking of creating. But I will first be looking at trying to re-create "3D Monster Maze", and "3D Defender". Crickey.... Is time going backwards in my mind. :-)

The game takes up 2.7K or RAM, and 16K of flash memory, so it will operate on smaller devices, as long as they have a suitable SPI peripheral for the OLED display, and I have had to slow down the game quite a lot because the Positron8 compiler produces such tight assembler code.

As soon as I tidy up the source code I will be making a page for it on my google site, with source codes.
