Some years ago I'd buy the PICKit4 it was by then a offer.

But due circumstances I left it alone.

Yesterday I pick it up, and install MPLAPX 5.30
Then PK4 was reconised, but refuse to connect, no further message seen, then that.
De-install 5.30 and go for 5.50.

Then message's pop up.
Driver issue, and more.
Found the solution in PK4 doc. 6.5 Hardware Tool Emergency Boot Firmware Recovery.

Thereafter I could connect to MPLAB IPE, it start with Flashing PK4.
The LED color in begin was, blue after plugging in USB, then Green.
After Emergency Flash, LED lit Yellow, thats allright.
So it was finally connected.

End of story? I'll think it was, Returned good, or bad, either way!

Next step, to find out is it up-to-date with most of PIC Family.

As test with MPLAB IPE I test of 45K22 will read or not, not, because I have to Enable VDD 5V.
Then the test.
Programming, Verify, and Erase, all went fine.
Programming in just a second, HEX file about 75% memory use

Then, see if I can get it to work, IPECMD in Proton eq. Positron Studio?

Further there is a MOD, between the two FET's, a resistor must be placed Drain and Source,
and cut the trace in between first.
It has something to do to eliminate spikes.
Anyone more info about that?
