As a long-time user of Positron BASIC, I am also a long-time purchaser of PCBs from JLCPCB.  To minimize PCB shipping costs, I've generally elected to go with the China Post shipping option where PCBs are passed on to the US Postal Service after they clear customs.

However, for US customers, it looks like the process has changed.  Specifically, after clearing customs, PCBs are now sent to GOFO Express which is a legitimate, US-based last-mile delivery company.  Unfortunately, based on Google AI, GOFO Express  has an overwhelmingly negative reputation among consumers, with frequent reports of missing packages and poor customer service.

Same thing here in Canada, I currently use JLCPCB and they switched last mile delivery company about 3 times in the last 2 years as for the lastest company they use it's seem more reliable so far.

NextPCB (www.nextpcb.com) also is another PCB company I used in the past also but it's a bit more expensive but they have china post among other delivery company.

and the last one that I never use up to now is the PCBWAY also use china post air mail.

you can take a look at the last two.

How recently did this change? I have been using China Post to get packages from JLCPCB, and the one I received about two weeks ago was delivered by the US Postal service, and one about a month ago was delivered by DHL.

I have not had any problem with delayed or missing deliveries (knock on wood).

I am certainly not an expert on this; but Google A1 indicated that Gofo was founded in 2023 by Chuan Zheng, a U.S. citizen of Chinese heritage with extensive experience in logistics and cross-border e-commerce.  Although GoFo's e-commerce business is rapidly expanding,  they are relatively small and operate as a regional business.

Same here, a lot of new delivery company's have most of the time Chinese own, who are directly link to main land china out courriers, and are competing directly to avoid any local postal service by cutting cost
and make delivery on the side walk if not up front your address door (not inside your regular postal service mail box or community parcel lockers)

I asked JLCPCB last year if they can add china post service instead of global shipping service, to secure the delivery
into my mail box,(here too we have porch pirates), since that time no china post is listed.
