What am I doing wrong?

The dummy test did not have an address byte following the control byte

Is there perhaps a parameter missing from the command?

The command's context is:  I2COut SDA_Pin, SCL_Pin, Control, Addr, [Data_1, ... Data_n]

"Control" is the I2C device's I2C bus address, and Addr is the device's internal address where Data_1 thru Data_n get stored.

Our respective posts crossed path times -- never mind!

No worries, you are right.

Tiredness had set in and I was putting the register address inside the square bracket instead of directly after the device address.

You can't, it is there for us all to see so when we make mistakes we can all feel better knowing we are not alone :)

Just rename the original post to "Del" and the powers that be might grant you an audience.  ;D
