Our minds were formed by a time that required critical thinking and intellectual resistance. That time is passing.

Now, the challenge is the quiet shaping of new generations into passive followers, conditioned to accept authority without question and to believe that every decision is made in their best interest.

I am very pessimistic about the current state of affairs. I believe we are returning to 1936. I mean either outright dictatorships or democracies that are essentially dictatorships underneath. Just look at the leaders of Russia, the US, China, some European countries (and I'm referring specifically to Spain), and I'm not even mentioning Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, etc., where presidents disregard constitutional norms and muzzle the judiciary. This regression is very dangerous. In Europe, it led to war. Our children and grandchildren will have to be very vigilant about this drift.

The 2008 Pixar animated film WALL-E tells the unlikely story of a world (this one) that has become so polluted that the human race has had to abandon it and live on a giant spaceship (Musk?). The people live in a world totally controlled by a higher power (AI, Trump, Putin...?): they don't need to move around and spend all day scratching at their screens buying stuff. They are all massively overweight and their only skill is buying stuff online (Amazon?)

Life is getting frighteningly like that film.

Almost all with left governments, just like Brazil, that is going to similar way like Venezuela, but with 2 big powers at steers, a drunk president, and politicized judiciary. Wait and you will hear news about the Brazilian economy in the coming months, bad news.

AI is the new religion, it will perform all your thinking for you.

Dennis the menace kidnapped the Venezuela president apparently, not to steal the Venezuela resources  ::)  (oil), they took it because China buys oil from Venezuela, and they want to prevent China to get the oil.

Now if China do what the US does, they will bomb the US back into the stone age and instate a Chinese friendly government with Chinese banks to keep the US population poor and in check.  Just like the US did with how many countries now.
They can do it too, just the female military of China is more than the total US population, and have the resources for it.

No international law is considered, the US want to capture Greenland, Canada and Venezuela for a start, it's colonization all over again.  No regard for the consequences or how many it will effect.  In fact, the whole West are still colonies.  Theft and land theft, murder and mass murder is legal - only you may not, then it is a crime.

You have to look at this -

The U.S. Land Grab That Redefined North America: What Really Happened Between 1836–1854

The unrest waving Mexican flags in the USA is not the "left", it's people who want their stolen land back.

Land, is the life right of a people.  Without soil under your feet you cannot exist.
All Wars is about land (and the resources of course).  Russia will take back what belonged to them and they do.

QuoteThree of the best known works on the Second World War are General Eisenhower's "Crusade in Europe" (559 pages), Winston Churchill's "The Second World War" ( 6 volumes; 4,448 pages), and the "Mémoires de guerre" by General de Gaulle (3 volumes; 2,054 pages). There is absolutely no mention whatsoever of any "Holocaust", genocide of the Jews, or gas chambers in these works, or by any other lesser luminaries who wrote about the Second World War.
Winston Churchill: "You must understand that this war is not against Hitler or National Socialism, but against the strength of the German people, which is to be smashed once and for all, regardless of whether it is in the hands of Hitler or a Jesuit priest." Emrys Hughes, Winston Churchill - His Career in War and Peace, p. 145

Since WW2 Germany was not ruled by Germans, and neither are any European country allowed to rule themselves.  Rule the lands and you rule the populations.
