primary I used PBP3 Pro for the last 5 years and 2 years ago came across Positron 8 somehow I wonder
does both compiler are twin or if there's more fundamental difference between them.

I wrote a small program and tested on both compiler and wanted to compare
the results as for the words used, and variable %, Positron 8 came at #1.

furthermore I asked AI to compare both product so I can understand the difference.

Hi,
I cannot speak for PBPRO but look at at how quick Les responds if there is an issue with compiler or even questions where things are not straightforward.
Also I (and a few others on the forum) have met him and he is a genuine guy more concerned with the compiler being the best he can make it rather than money. (AI can't tell you that!)

I'll second that Bob. Les is a Good Guy who is brilliant with software (and hardware). He also has a good sense of humour. I have been using Les's compilers for many years and I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Charlie

(I work at the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park and Les's software hides in many of our exhibits.)

Fanie

Best in the ring is probably Dakota Ditcheva, just remember to take lipstick.
Imagine she's your girlfriend and you forgot her birthday  ;D

That you can see the ASM for your code (in the Positron studio) should indicate that the code created is near optimized considering ASM is supposed to be the optimal manner in which the silicon is manipulated to do it's thing.

What's the B in JackB ? (if I may ask ? Jack in the Beanstalk perhaps  :o )

Just to comfort everyone regarding Positron.

Imagine the Romans were still in charge today - then this line in my lookup table

Dis1 = LookUp Dis1 , [126, 34, 188, 186, 226, 218, 222, 50, 254, 250, 152]

was going to look like this

Dis1 = LookUp Dis1 , [CXXVI,XXXIV,CLXXXVIII,CLXXXVI,CCXXVI,CCXVIII,CCXXII,L,CCLIV, CCL,CLII]

Advantage of this finger type counting, there was no ZERO !  (You cannot have 0 fingers to count with ?)
To be honest, that already compensate for a huge amount of problems since your bank account could never be empty !
You can not divide by zero and create a black hole which is what Western governments do to swallow everyone's income.

My mother is now LXXXVIII years old which looks very kinky with the XXX part in it :o although I doubt she noticed.

More confusions would be

For I = I to MXXIV  ' 1 = 1 to 1024, just cannot be 0 to...
Next I  ' next one  ;)

And the only reason the Romans aka Italians have working fast motorcycles today is because the Germans probably helped them  ;D  And I ride Suzuki because I have trouble keeping the upper lip stiff like the Triumph and BMW guys have, and how do they get the helmet off ? Or does the lip resonate like a tuning fork when they do.
Ah, and don't forget the stiff upper lip is an English trait.
