I was browsing through Aliexpress looking for an inexpensive drone with about 200gr payload capacity but there's nowhere information about the payload. I simply need to lift some senors to about 100 meters above ground and run tests, thus no video is required.

Maybe someone with experience can recommend low-cost models?

Thanks

Erm..Don't most grenades weigh more than 200g?

To be fully compliant with the law I should apply for a drone license ... but I am not sure if handling a grenade requires a license, maybe I should ask the RCMP  ;).

On the topic of how ridiculously bureaucratic the world became - to comply with the law for that drone weight I need a registration and according the same legislation as soon as I start stripping the drone I'll be effectively violating the license because I should not modify the drone in any way ... not that I'll bother with all this but technically I can get a fine  ;D .

Are you required to have Remote I.D in Canada if over 250gms all up weight?  Always seemed a bit stupid to enforce this in the US. It's laws for the law-abiding which won't apply if your activities are outside the law.

Yep, same 250gr bureaucratic nonsense. But who cares in the middle of nowhere :)
