Try the MSPM0C1104 by TI. It's an ARM Cortex device and measures just 1.38 sq mm.
How'd you like to hand solder it?
16kB memory
1kB RAM
24MHz
Look up the device on the Internet. Absolutely amazing.

Circa $0.20, it is available in SOT23-8 and 20-pin packages. This is a nice device for the price and direct competition to the new ST range. There is also an 8k version at $0.16/1k. It is a serious quality device for the money. These are challenging the RiscV and low-end Padauk parts now..

That's just NUTS, HOWEVER..This gives me an evil idea to created a huge network of these for parallel processing. How much fun could that be?
