I'd say the more warnings the better, can save a lot of time all round.

Your code has not set the pin to use for the CCP1 peripheral, so the compiler's library assembler code cannot create the code for the dedicated pin, so it does not add it...

I figured I was doing something silly like this but I couldn't see what. Thanks.
