Look what I got !

About 50 000 years ago the wife said she wants to do some knitting, I must hunt for a woolly mammoth.
Here is the results...

I'm already tired of the winter.  It's cold and nothing grows.

You know you live in a sh2t hole when your pics are delivered in a plastic bag.  Apparently we don't have static problems and pic micro legs are spring steel which jumps right back when they are bent  :'(

All those who cannot make it in their own country, the dumbest and most useless, the  undead, a walking disease, a plague upon all mankind, an unholy flesh eater, worse than the 10 plagues of Egypt, swarms in here to become something and are favored for any position and no laws apply to them.
We already have more than 200 million of them in the Transvaal alone.  You can only experience this if you're on a farm and a massive swarm of grasshoppers descend.

I found a picture of nice palm trees for the palm tree lovers !
Sure there are palm trees !

Most fishing lures are sold to catch the angler, not fish.

I smoked cannabis for the first time.
It's really not so bad.
I'm currently on the train to work.

SMIC China independently started making 2nm technology chips, apparently performing faster than expected.
The current high performance processors are 4nm technology.

If you were under the impression that the West is in control of processor technology, this is not so.  America (Trump) is about to have Taiwan chip manufacturing brought to America, and is why America would like to see Taiwan independent from China, and of course China doesn't want to let Taiwan which was historically a part of China slip.
Everything a pssing contest to keep ahead of potential enemies.

Never the less it is going to be interesting to see what is going to emerge from the 2nm technology.

trastikata

Amazing, this is only few atoms, I wonder how many chips actually pass QC and the yield per wafer.

ok the 2nm is in production , while they're working on the 1nnm and and sur-imposed layers fot the 0.5nm
I guess it will be very interesting.

Mantech !   look's ok, but is controlled by Mobicon  Group (chinese supplier)

The company is a subsidiary of the MOBICON GROUP, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

no wonder the shipping package was not anti-static.

Hope all your IC are 100%.

The 'nm' wording on dies is just a marketing convention. It does not represent the size of the gate other than an improvement on the last size. I don't know the the true size but it's getting tiny.

I Debated Posting This for Weeks... But If You're Over 60, You Need to Hear It

A post by Elon Musk, and I have to admit it wasn't something I expected of him !
Never the less, perhaps more than just over 60's should reflect on what he tried to say.

And this came to mind...

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine, staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long, and there is time to kill today
And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

And you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
Sun is the same, in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught, or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone, the song is over, thought I'd something more to say

Do any of you know of a program that works offline that I can use to convert .jpg /.jpeg to STL ?

Or even better, an output format I can import into Solid Edge like .IGS, .STP, .DWG, .PAR... ?

There are numerous that can convert online but none that can do it offline.
It is for 3D printing.

Almost a year ago I went to buy filament for my 3D printer, the Creality Ender3.  On special in the shop was the then new K2 Plus on special for 5k less than the price.
I took one, and what a difference up from the baby printer.
You just feed this thing filament and the parts come out, very good quality, stronger and fast.
It has now almost paid for itself, if all goes well it will have paid for itself next year.

It is one thing to have the printer, most people do not have a program to draw their models in.
Like software where you make a dead thing come alive, the 3D let you make something you create out of nothing.

The ADS1263 is a 32bit A/D.

2^32 = 4 294 967 296 counts

Divide 3V3 with 4 294 967 296 counts = 7,68341124057769775390625^-10V per click
Divide 5V with 4 294 967 296 counts = 0,00000000116415321826934814453125V per click.

Perhaps one can use this resolution to measure mV signals from shunts, load cells or thermocouples and still get a usable value resolution.

What do you think ?
