Hi Pepe,

Your Proteus file will not open in my version 8 so I tried your code with the PIC18 Explorer Board-PIC18F8722 version supplied with Proteus but that does not work either.  The explorer demo does work with the original Microchip demo files.

Any ideas please?

The previous demo did not work for him because it used pin 14 (OS) of the MCP23S17. I also do not know the fuse configuration and operating frequency of your board. I attach a new demo for isis with the new library lcd2x16.inc that does not use that pin, I hope now if it works.

I unzipped the file to a new folder.

Your ISIS project still does not open in my Proteus, I just get the Proteus design suite logo then it closes.  This is a problem that I have had with other ISIS projects downloaded from the forum.

Your code does now work in the explorer board project.
